Henry Dore is Indigo Mentor's youngest client at 6 years old. He has been diagnosed with low muscle tone and Developmental Language Disorder which is nurtured throughout his sessions. Henry participates in a range of physical activities to help build muscle tone. Going to a local playground or swimming pool provides Henry with the opportunity to help develop his motor skills. Engaging in these activities also gives Henry a chance to socialise with other kids which prove integral for his overall confidence.

This is one of our participants, Fisher, showing his climbing skills on an overhanging wall.

This is one of our participants, Fisher, showing his climbing skills on an overhang wall. Six months ago, Fisher did not possess the confidence to even attempt this wall and struggled to complete other easier climbs. Having multiple sessions with Indigo Mentors, Fisher’s intrinsic motivation, confidence, and determination have grown immensely. It is very pleasing to see this young man flourish in a physically demanding environment, testing his resilience, as well as having fun.
